upbringing
I grew up on a council estate in a beautiful beach town in South Wales. My world felt small—until an Interrail trip at 18 changed everything. That experience sparked a lifelong love of travel and showed me that your background doesn't define your future. Through this blog and my stories, I want to empower you to travel boldly and live freely, no matter where you come from or your starting point.
"home"
When I travel, people ask: where’s home? The truth is, I haven’t lived in Wales since I was 18 and in those years, I’ve travelled to 54 countries and called a few of them “home”. While Wales will always be my “home home”, for the past 4 years, I’ve fully embraced a nomadic life, working remotely and chasing the sun. Sometimes, I have to pinch myself because 11-year-old me wouldn’t have ever believed it.
travel philosophy
Back in the early days of travelling, I was a die-hard budget traveller but now I’d say I’m semi-retired. For me, it's more about seeking raw experience in places that still feel untouched by mass tourism. These days, I’m less about chasing the cheapest deals but more about travelling independently and slowly to more "unexplored" countries like Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and India.
