Pai, Thailand is full of amazing cafes and coffee shops – the perfect place to cafe hop. I’ve stacked up many hours of chatting, people-watching, reading, and working in the many coffee shops dotted around the town.
When it comes to coffee, I’m a bit of a snob and really appreciate a good cup. So take my word that all the coffee shops below are worthy of your time, but if it’s down to coffee alone, I’d vote Khaotha Coffee and Keys Cafe as my top 2.
1. Khaotha Coffee / Roastered Pai
Located near Good Life Dacha, Khaotha Coffee is the perfect spot to meet a friend, read your book or people-watch in Pai. On Saturdays, when the Saturday Market is on, the crowd pours over to Khaotha Coffee, and the vibe is bustling.
Its coffee is insanely good. You can choose light, medium or dark roast when you order a coffee. It has an industrial-style Berlin-esque interior. Inside, there are big tables where you can work on your laptop.

Update: Recently I found out that it has renamed itself to “Northern Soul Riverside BBQ” so if the link takes you there, it’s all good. It’s the same place.
